F&L Pet Resort Inc. was started by Phyllis (a.k.a. "PIF") and Nancy
in 1987, who became friends when they both worked for Mountain Bell. It was three years in the planning stage. After looking at existing facility's that were available
at that time they decided that it would take more work and money to bring these places
up to the quality that they wanted and decided to build a brand new facility.
With financing paper work done, we broke ground in the fall of 1987 and opened for business on May 1, 1988.
PIF is presently owned by a Border Terrier but has had several other small dog breeds over the yeas.
Nancy is presently sharing her home with a Rottweiler (adopted HS), Border Collie (adopted HS), Wire Fox Terrier, and 2 Medium Size
mixed breed dogs (from rescue).
Cathy joined us as a business partner in the late summer of 2002. She worked many years as an O.T. while
showing her dogs in competition in both obedience & agility. At the obedience trials was where we first
met Cathy and became friends. Cathy is allowed to live in her home by her 2 Corgis (1 from rescue) and 4 Border Collies
(3 from rescue).

Julie (pictured right) joined our Staff in the spring of 2007.
A true animal lover, Julie and her husband share their home with 2 large dogs.
She is a great addition to our staff.
April (pictured below) joined us in the late summer of 2008.
April fills in when we need extra
staff. She has a natural way with animals. April and her family have two small dogs and a cat.
Karen (pictured right) joined us in the Fall of 2008.
Karen comes over after school to help us walk and care for the dogs.
VIP=Very Important Pet:
All our VIP guests are treated to very special, private and personalized service.
Easy listening music is piped in for their listening pleasure. Canine guests enjoy
romping in our 20' x 35'play areas three times per day, individually.
Each kitty condo has a shelf to jump up on, kitty box and a cozy kitty bed to curl up
into. We now have double size condos for those with 2 or more cats!
Your VIP is our VIP. We pride ourselves in being animal lovers and appreciate
the special personality of each of our guests. We strive VERY hard to keep a
spotless facility at all times.
Should we feel that for any reason your pet needs veterinary attention we will
make every attempt to contact your regular veterinarian. However if we feel
that we have an emergency situation and your vet is not immediately available
we may contact another.
We are not responsible for items you leave and you pet chews up or they get
lost. Bedding is changed and washed daily, so any extra bedding you do bring
MUST be machine washable. If the item is a large dog pillow, the cover MUST
be removable.
